The Pro Bono Program of Mid-Florida, a program of Community Legal
Services of Mid-Florida, Inc. (CLSMF), matches volunteer private
attorneys with low-income individuals in need of civil legal assistance.
If you need help . . .
Those in need of free legal assistance should contact
the Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida office nearest
them. Once determined eligible for services (eligibility is based
on income, assets, and household size), CLSMF may assist the client
or may refer him or her to the Pro Bono Program.
There are three factors (in addition to eligibility) in determining
whether someone may be assisted by the Pro Bono Program of Mid-Florida:
- CLSMF cannot provide services because of an existing conflict
of interest.
- CLSMFs scope of practice does not include the area of
law/expertise needed to help the client with his or her civil
legal problem(s).
- A private attorney wishes to accept a case free of charge
and will contact CLSMF to have the legal services application
forwarded to his or her office. Once eligibility is determined,
the case will be processed as a pro bono case.
